The Chamberlain C450 is the updated version of the classic LiftMaster/Chamberlain/Craftsman chain drive opener that is probably the best selling unit of all time.
The C450 comes with two remotes, a keypad, the basic wall control (no motion sensor or auto close timer), and safety eyes. It is wifi capable so you can control it from anywhere there is internet. The remotes have the best security and are HomeLink compatible.
These openers work well, and I routinely see them successfully pull heavy wood doors for 15+ years without a problem. Eventually the gear will strip out or the sprocket bearing will fail, but it is replaceable and that’s going to be a long time from now.
It could also get a little loud. The latest design may stay quieter than the older generation, but some of them really rumble and its pretty much the same motor design.
If you want an inexpensive opener that will open and close your door reliably for years and you don’t care about battery backup or a little bit of noise, this is a good bet and a great value.
