The following is a list of what I consider to be fair prices on common repairs. This is what I charge. I also list what I would consider to be the lowest price a company can charge and still do a good job.
There are plenty of overcharge scams out there, but you should be aware of unusually low prices, too. There are lots of cut-rate “fly by night” garage door guys out there who don’t really know what they are doing. If you get a really low estimate from a company you found on a “spammy” looking website, it could be one of these. Companies that undercharge don’t warranty their work when problems arise.
